What I Help With

Stephanie is particularly interested in working with trauma and recovering from injustice supporting people when difficult experiences have altered their sense of safety and stability. Her work focuses on helping clients reclaim security, build coping capacity, and develop new meaning after hardship.

1. Trauma & PTSD

Working with survivors of childhood trauma, complex trauma, PTSD, and traumatic experiences. Trauma affects everyone differently, and there's no "right way" to heal.

2. Anxiety & Depression

Helping adults who experience anxiety primarily as physical symptoms—racing heart, tight chest, difficulty breathing. We'll address both the mental and physical aspects of anxiety.

3. Mood Disorders

Supporting individuals with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and other serious mental health conditions. I've worked in high-level care environments and understand the complexities of managing mood disorders.

Her background includes experience supporting clients navigating:
  • Substance abuse and gambling addictions
  • Survivors of sexual abuse
  • Developmental disabilities
  • Divorce and major life changes
  • Community mental health, employee assistance programs (EAP), and hospital settings

My Approach to Therapy

Stephanie uses a person-centered approach grounded in humanistic orientations, including Rogerian and existential therapy, with elements of psychoanalysis.

“We’ll work toward immediate relief while also exploring deeper patterns.”

Her work prioritizes:

  • Ensuring therapy is aligned with what you need
  • Building a strong therapeutic relationship where you feel like a priority
  • Recognizing strengths and asserting your rights
  • Seeking immediate relief while also exploring deeper root causes to reduce patterns from repeating
