Love, Connection, Support
Oh, relationships! They can be the most wonderful, fulfilling experiences in the world. But they can also be some of the most challenging! Having close connections with others is such an important part in living well, which is why it’s important to focus on the health of our relationships.

If you are noticing that you are not feeling fulfilled by the important relationships in your life, it may be helpful to explore this further.
What are you noticing about your feelings in your relationships with friends and family? Are you feeling happy and respected? Do you look forward to seeing them? Are you feeling nervous around them?
Are you noticing any challenges with trusting this? Questions like these (and so many more!) could help you evaluate how you are feeling in your relationships and how much your needs are being met. It can also help you look at your own behavior and responses in relationships to help you ensure that you are doing what you can to foster healthy and loving relationships.
Working with a therapist can help you recognize your needs and roles in relationships… in all relationships. It can be with significant relationships in your life such as partners, parents, children, relatives, but it can also be with more minor relationships in your life such as coworkers, acquaintances, even strangers! Sometimes we may have an interaction with someone that we just met that stirred up something in us that we may need to sort through!
